The cottage is available for occupation
as from 3pm on the day of arrival.

We ask that
you please vacate the property by no later than 10am on the day of
departure.

These timings are to permit our
housekeeper, who has a very tight schedule on Saturdays,
sufficient time to clean and service the cottage between
lets.

Well-behaved dogs up to a maximum of
2 are welcome at
Tigh na Bruaich by
prior arrangement.

We ask that you please ensure that your dog is not
allowed on the furniture and will not cause any damage.
-
As children may be staying in the
property and playing in the garden, we would be
extremely grateful if you would please clean up
after your dog.
-
This is a
crofting area where sheep are reared, so it is important that dogs
should be kept under control at all times.
-
There is no additional charge for
dogs.
-

For the benefit of other visitors to
Tigh na Bruaich,
we ask that you please refrain from smoking inside the property.
-
We reserve the right to levy an
additional charge for extra cleaning and/or
re-decoration if this request is ignored.

In order to make a confirmed booking, we need to have a
completed Booking Form together with a cheque payment for a deposit of
20% of the cost of your holiday.

The balance of the payment for your
holiday is then payable 6 weeks before the start of your holiday.

If the
start of your holiday is less than 6 weeks away at the time of booking,
we need payment in full with your Booking Form.

There is a general stores & tea shop in
Torridon village approximately 8 miles from the cottage.
This will be re-opening for the 2008 season following a
period of closure and change of ownership.

Fresh eggs and seafood can be purchased
locally.
-
A travelling butcher visits every Tuesday
carrying fresh meat, fish, fruit, vegetables, bread and
milk.
-
There are also stores at Shieldaig (17
miles), Kinlochewe (19 miles), Lochcarron (35 miles) and
Gairloch (39 miles).
-
The nearest main supermarkets are at
Kyle of Lochalsh (54 miles), Dingwall (57 miles),
Inverness (69 miles) and Ullapool (75 miles).

You should be aware that some of the
smaller local shops may be closed on Sundays.
-

The nearest filling station is at
Kinlochewe (19 miles).
-
Other filling stations are at
Lochcarron (35 miles) and Gairloch (39 miles).

Filling stations in the more remote
parts of the Highlands are often many miles apart and
some do not stay open late or open at all on Sundays.
You are therefore advised to keep your fuel tank well
topped up at every opportunity!

The nearest pub is the Torridon Inn at
Annat (10 miles).

The nearest restaurant is the Loch
Torridon Country House Hotel, also at Annat (10 miles).

Other pubs and restaurants can be
found at Kinlochewe, Shieldaig, Applecross, Kishorn,
Lochcarron, Achnasheen and Gairloch.

Tigh na Bruaich has 3 bedrooms and will sleep
up to 6 people.
-
There is one double bedroom on
the ground floor.
-
There
are
two further bedrooms, a double and a twin, both on the upper floor.
-
A cot is available if required.
-
The bathroom is just off the
half landing part way up the stairs. There is a WC, bath, wash hand basin and electric
shaver point. There is no shower.
-
Downstairs, there is a comfortable sitting
room which has a fireplace with electric
convector fire. There is a 3-seater settee and 2
armchairs. Entertainment is provided by a colour
TV and Video Recorder.

There is a well equipped kitchen with
good cupboard space
and worktop area. There is a
list of kitchen equipment below. The kitchen also has a small dining area with a
table and seating for 4 people.

The entrance porch also has a
table and 2 easy chairs. The porch has large
windows giving panoramic views over Diabaig
village and Loch Torridon.

All the rooms to the front of the house have
superb views across the loch.

Outside, there is a pleasant
enclosed garden
with a gate to a short drive leading to the roadside.

Bed linen is provided and included
in the tariff for the house.

Towels, tea towels and bath
mats are also provided and
are included in the prices.

The kitchen is equipped with
electric cooker, microwave and fridge.
-
There is
no freezer in the property.

Other main appliances comprise
toaster, kettle and coffee maker.

There is a washing machine in the
kitchen.
-
The kitchen is also equipped with
an iron and ironing board.
-
There is no tumble dryer but a
clothes' line is provided outside the cottage.

In addition, there is
hanging/drying space inside the property.

The
bathroom is just off the half landing part way up the stairs.
-
The bathroom has a bath - but
no shower.
-
There is a WC
in the bathroom.

There is a TV
and a VCR in the sitting room.
-
In the sitting room there is
also a portable radio cassette.
-
N.B. FM radio signals in
the Torridon area are very weak, often non-existent,
due to the mountainous terrain.

There is no phone in the cottage.
-
Mobile phone coverage is
pretty much non-existent in Diabaig itself but a
good signal can be obtained by going a short
distance up the road to the top of the hill
above the cottage.

There is a telephone kiosk at
the bottom of Diabaig village just by the
harbour.
